Ghana Online Radio - 265 Radio Stations

Ghana Radio offers access to over 250 radio stations from across the country, available online 24/7. Stations are organized by city and genre, including news, gospel, highlife, hiplife, reggae, sports, talk, and more. The interface is modern, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate from any device.

Each station page features a live stream, updated logo, and available information. Our dynamic ranking system updates automatically — the more listeners a station has, the higher it appears in the catalog. Rankings are based on listener activity from the past 7 days.

We use custom stream processing to extract metadata and generate real-time playlists and top song charts for many stations. If a station doesn’t offer metadata, users can use our mobile app, which includes built-in music recognition (like Shazam).

About Radio Broadcasting in Ghana

Radio is one of the most important and widely used media in Ghana. The country’s first station, Radio ZOY, began broadcasting in 1935 under British colonial rule. After independence in 1957, Ghana established the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), which continues to operate public radio services nationwide.

Today, Ghana has hundreds of FM stations, both public and private, covering all 16 regions. Radio plays a vital role in informing, educating, and entertaining the population, especially in rural areas where access to internet and television may be limited. Content is broadcast in English and many local languages, including Twi, Ga, Ewe, Dagbani, and others.

Radio in Ghana is regulated by the National Communications Authority (NCA), which oversees licensing and compliance. Prominent networks include GBC Radio, Joy FM, Citi FM, Adom FM, Peace FM, and more.
